On the morning of June 21, 2019 the Arcanum Mile High Games kicked off its inaugural event at Infinity Park in Glendale, Colorado.  Colorado is a hub for the fitness and community that CrossFit cultivates we were trilled excited to get back to the style of competition that made it this way in the first place.

This three day competition included 144 athletes from 12 states including CrossFit Games athletes from the Teenage, Individual, Team and Masters divisions.  This Regional style competition was the first in Colorado since the 2012 Southwest Regionals in Castle Rock.

All athletes from the Team, Individual, Masters and Teenage divisions competed in 8 events over a rain-soaked three days.  While it was not enjoyable at the time, the non-stop rain, cold and wind brought together the community, volunteers and athletes.  Everything out of our control created some unique challenges that we can look back on now with a smile.

Nowhere else in the World can people say they PR'd their snatch in a firehouse while Dave Lipson was pumping them up.  Starting a workout at 10:30pm in the rain just after three gun shots echoed from a nearby street builds character.  Remembering Becky Conzelman with "Champion" on Sunday morning is something we will never forget.

We were privileged to work with 5 different non-profits: Steve's Club, OUTWOD, FaithRXD, The Phoenix and The Reveille Project who are all doing amazing things in the CrossFit space.

Athletes and volunteers were hooked up with more free gear than any competition we have heard of thanks to companies like Arcanum, NOBULL, FLEO, Ten Thousand Gear, Wilde Chips, Nuun, Jimmy Bar, Red Bull, My Fit Foods, Nuun, Nooma, Vital Proteins, Power Crunch, Ascent Protein, Kill Cliff and Crossover Symmetry.

We are beyond excited about the 2020 Arcanum Mile High Games and look forward to seeing old faces and meeting new faces!
